How it Works
Bridal Couple
Your Wedding Presents lets the bride and groom make a list of gifts that they would like for wedding presents. The bride and groom can provide as much detail (eg, Sunbeam Toaster XV2000, available from http://toastershop.com) or as little detail (eg, toaster) as they want about each present.
The bride and groom can also ask for Contribution presents, where multiple guests can put money towards a single larger gift (eg, honeymoon air tickets). For Contribution presents, guests can bring money to wedding, or the bridal couple can include account details (for bank transfer) in the 'Message for Guests'.
When gifts or contributions are chosen by guests, Your Wedding Presents displays this to the bridal couple, and if the guests enter their names, this is shown as well (very handy for thank you cards!).
Guests
When guests view a wedding registry, they see a list of presents that the bridal couple would like. Gifts which have already been chosen by other guests are hidden automatically (although they can be viewed too). Each guest can choose which present they want to get by clicking the "I'll get it!" button. It is then up to the guest to buy the present from any store or online. Your Wedding Presents does not sell gifts; instead, it helps the bride and groom share a list of presents that they would like, and helps avoid two guests getting the same present.
When guests choose a present, they can optionally enter their name. This will be visible to the bride and groom. Also, guests choose a password for the present - if they want to later cancel their choice, they can enter this password at the bottom of the page and the gift will then be available for another guest to choose.
